Hirsekorns Eltern waren der Rittergutsbesitzer Ernst Hirsekorn und seine Frau Marie geb. Freiin von Lynker. Hans Hirsekorn studierte an der Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen Rechtswissenschaft und wurde 1908 Mitglied des Corps Suevia Tübingen. 1913 wurde er zum Dr. iur. promoviert. Im selben Jahr wurde seinem Antrag stattgegeben, dem Bezirksgericht Windhoek in Deutsch-Südwestafrika zugeordnet zu werden. Er kaufte eine Farm und ließ sich in Lüderitz als Rechtsanwalt nieder. Im Ersten Weltkrieg in Südwestafrika kämpfte er in der Schutztruppe für Deutsch-Südwestafrika gegen die Truppen der Südafrikanischen Union.

Hirsekorn's parents were the manor owner Ernst Hirsekorn and his wife Marie, née Freiin von Lynker. Hans Hirsekorn studied law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and became a member of the Corps Suevia Tübingen in 1908. He was awarded his doctorate in law in 1913. In the same year, his application to be assigned to the Windhoek District Court in German South West Africa was granted. He bought a farm and settled in Lüderitz as a lawyer. During the First World War in South West Africa, he fought in the Schutztruppe for German South West Africa against the troops of the Union of South Africa.

Les parents de Hirsekorn étaient Ernst Hirsekorn, propriétaire d'un manoir, et sa femme Marie, née baronne von Lynker. Hans Hirsekorn a étudié le droit à l'université Eberhard-Karl de Tübingen et est devenu membre du Corps Suevia Tübingen en 1908. En 1913, il obtint son doctorat en droit. La même année, sa demande d'être affecté au tribunal de district de Windhoek en Afrique du Sud-Ouest allemande fut acceptée. Il acheta une ferme et s'installa comme avocat à Lüderitz. Pendant la Première Guerre mondiale en Afrique du Sud-Ouest, il a combattu dans la Schutztruppe für Deutsch-Südwestafrika contre les troupes de l'Union sud-africaine.
