Das Postgebäude in Swakopmund, das heute die Rathausgebäude beherbergt, wurde 1907 gebaut. Es diente ursprünglich als Postamt, Telefonzentrale und Wohnungen für das Personal. Die Baupläne wurden von Gottlieb Redecker entworfen. Eine weitere Funktelegraphenstation wurde 1912 in Swakopmund eröffnet.

The post office building in Swakopmund, which today houses the town hall buildings, was built in 1907. It originally served as a post office, telephone exchange and flats for the staff. The building plans were designed by Gottlieb Redecker. Another radio telegraph station was opened in Swakopmund in 1912.

Le bâtiment de la poste de Swakopmund, qui abrite aujourd'hui les bâtiments de la mairie, a été construit en 1907. Il servait à l'origine de bureau de poste, de central téléphonique et de logements pour le personnel. Les plans de construction ont été conçus par Gottlieb Redecker. Une autre station de radiotélégraphie a été ouverte à Swakopmund en 1912.
