GSWA Pass token: BZ.SWKPD PASS 1380

These pass tokens had to be worn around the neck by native Namibians as from 18May1904 during the German Colonial times. Signed, 18May1904, Der Kaiserliche Bezirksmann. Dr Fuchs.

This specific pass token was issued on  7 September 1904, with a number range of 1201 - 2200. The 'BZ.SWKPD' stood for 'Bezirk Swakopmund' (region Swakopmund). These were the first sets issued and the only one were the town was mentioned in a shortened version. Hence a rare pass token.
