Hans Hirsekorn studied law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and became a member of the Corps Suevia Tübingen in 1908. He was awarded his doctorate in law in 1913. In the same year, his application to be assigned to the Windhoek District Court in German South West Africa was granted. He bought a farm and settled in Lüderitz as a lawyer.
